Congratulations to our Ravens U11B team on an incredible accomplishment: Division Champions and Provincials-bound! This past weekend, the team defeated the #1 seed in a three-game series to capture the division title, then secured their Provincials spot in their final playdown game. This postseason caps off a remarkable season. After starting the year with a roster largely new to rep hockey, the team steadily improved, finishing 3rd in the regular season, defeating the #2 seed in round one, and ultimately taking down the #1 seed to claim the top spot in the league. Congratulations to the players, coaches, and families for their hard work, resilience, and team spirit throughout the season. Good luck in your next series and representing WGHA at Provincials!

While the Canadian men’s team was battling in Italy, U11 Ravens were fighting for their own gold medals in Oakville’s Survive the Hive tournament. After achieving modest victories in our round-robin bracket, we found ourselves ranked third out of 24. The two top teams were juggernauts, sporting 23/2 and 16/1 GF/GA after playing three games. Sunday was our day however - we upset both teams within regulation time: 2-1 in the semis and 1-0 in the championship. A huge congrats to the girls and all the parents & staff that tirelessly support them throughout the season. U11 Ravens have now won Survive the Hive three years in a row!

Huge congratulations to our Waterloo Ravens U9B team for a dominant performance at the New Tecumseth ODR Family Day Festival! The girls showcased incredible grit and teamwork, going undefeated throughout the weekend to secure the Gold Medal. Way to go, girls!

The U18 B team went undefeated to capture gold at the 2025 Waterloo Fall Challenge Cup (FCC).

The U18 B Ravens captured gold at the Hoctoberfest Tournament in Lakeshore. The final went to a grueling 13 round shootout before Paige Gillett scored the winner!

Congratulations to the Waterloo Ravens U18 BB team on winning gold at the 2025 Starsfest Tournament in Markham-Stouffville! The Ravens finished 1st of 8 teams after a 5-game round robin. They carried their momentum into the championship game with strong effort, determination, and great teamwork. They captured the gold medal with a 2–0 victory over the Caledon Cyclones in the finals, scoring both goals within just seven seconds of each other. Great start to the 2025-26 season!

Congratulations to the girls - they put together some excellent hockey this weekend to win the Waterloo Cup in OT on Saturday, and the League Championship in a tight 1-0 game. As we spoke about after the game today, a season is filled with ups and downs. It's always nice to end on an up, but I'm particularly proud of how the girls supported each other throughout, it brought out the best in everyone. It’s been an exciting March for the U18 B Ravens. Following their gritty win over Kitchener in early March to capture the West Division title, the girls continued their winning ways to beat the Cazenovia Chiefs and Flamborough Falcons, both home and away, to earn a hard-won spot in the OWHA League Championship in Toronto on March 29th. After a shaky start where they fell behind 2-0 to the North Durham Blades, the Ravens battled back with a goal in each of the 2nd and 3rd periods to tie it up at 2-2 and force the game into sudden-death 4 on 4 overtime. To the relief of their parents, the girls wasted no time and at 1 minute and 31 seconds into overtime, the U18B Ravens banged the puck home to clinch the win and became Southern League Champions. Huge congratulations to all the girls and the coaching staff for achieving this rare feat! Provincials here we come!!

The U11 HL Team 3 won the 2025 Survive the Hive tournament in Oakville. The team beat two teams from Huntsville, two teams from Oakville, a team from Wilmot and one from Burlington on their way to a 6-0 record. They were able to clinch the final with a thrilling 2-1 overtime win with 4.1 seconds left.

The U18 B Ravens took home the West Division title with a gritty, team-first performance in Kitchener on March 5th. Not only did our girls pull off a season-first 1-0 win over Kitchener to tie the playoff series at 3 points apiece, but they had to battle through an additional 10 minute overtime period to determine the eventual winner. Overtime ended in a 0-0 tie to send the game into shootouts. Thanks to superb goaltending and our laser-focused 5th shooter, the Ravens prevailed to take home the West Division title. Congratulations girls!!

Congratulations to the U13-1 team on their gold medal win in the annual Oakville Survive the Hive Tournament. After four round robin games, which included coming back late from two goals down to salvage a tie in their second game, the team was 3-0-1 and held down first overall in the 14 team division. A hard-fought win against a difficult Grand River team in the semis led to a birth in the finals against the hometown Oakville Hornets. Two early first period goals held up thanks to some great goaltending and solid defensive and team play. Thanks to all the coaches and parents, and of course the players for another great weekend filled with fun and growth for this great team of girls!

This past weekend the U13 DS team brought home Gold from Orangeville. The team went undefeated, playing in 5 games and did not allow any goals against. This U13 group is not only talented and skilled on the ice, but hard working, committed and supportive of one another. Their work ethic and passion for the game of hockey was forefront this weekend in the team's first tournament of the year! A huge thanks to the players, parents and coaches that made this weekend a success. GO RAVENS!

U15-1 team brings home Gold at the Kyla Kowalik Memorial Tournament in Wilmot. The team went undefeated through 5 games with solid team play, only allowing a single goal against! On top of winning, the team also took home 3 of 4 trophies from the skills competition events. Congrats to the team and coaches on a great weekend!

It was a hard fought 6 games for the U15 1 team playing with only 11 skaters. After a slow start and loss in the team's first game, some line juggling and great team play led the team into the semis. That is where the "Revenge Tour" started and the girls beat both teams they lost to in the round robin. The Gold Medal game was action packed needing a crazy overtime and a shootout! A great weekend where hard work and teamwork truly paid off! Congrats on winning GOLD!!

Fantastic result in the North Halton Twisters tournament including a semi-final game that went to the shootout! Congratulations Ravens on taking home the Silver. Coach Adam.

On December 21st, the Ravens U9 B team partnered with the Woolwich Wild U9 team to hold a food drive for the Waterloo Region Food Bank. Through the generosity of all of the donors, the teams were able to donate 289 pounds of food to help the less fortunate.

The Waterloo Ravens U18 AA team took the time to help at The Food Bank of Waterloo Region on Saturday by participating in a food engagement activity. The group sorted a total of 4,958 pounds of food! This provides about 4,131 essential meals for our neighbours in Waterloo region struggling to make ends meet.  This is incredible! This event was a great way for the team to give back to our community and a special thanks to the players and coaches that were able to make it out on a rare hockey day off; it was much appreciated.

For the third consecutive year, the Ravens U18 B team donated pajamas and money to the The Women's Centre Grey Bruce as part of the Saugeen Shores U18 B team's annual 'Mission of Kindness'. Saugeen was very thankful to coach Gaudet and the entire team for their ongoing support, sportsmanship, class and respect.

On Thursday, January 31st, the U13-1 HL team went to help sort food bags at Food4Kids in Kitchener. This event was a fantastic way to give back to the kids in the community and let the girls spend some extra time together outside of the rink. A special thanks to all the players and coaches that were able to make it out Thursday night. Your help was greatly appreciated!

There is no better way to start a season than by supporting our community with the #backpackchallenge. It is incredibly important to our program to recognize and promote community organizations. Our girls are proudly wearing our new “Ravens Recognize” jerseys, alongside Officer Melissa Quarrie, from Waterloo Regional Police Service, who came to collect our record number of 64 donated backpacks.

The Waterloo Ravens U15A team had a great time collecting food donations in the Oktoberfest parade this weekend. The weather turned out to be much better than original predictions. The girls proudly wore their Ravens jerseys and carried the Ravens flags.

Our U13B team had an amazing day at RIM Park celebrating “hockey without borders” and the inclusivity that our great sport of Hockey is able to bring. This event was also attended by members of our WGMHA Board of Directors. Very much appreciated for those who were able to attend.
