    WGMHA would like to congratulate Katina Duscio from the KW Rangers on being named to the National Women's Under-18 Team (NEXTGEN) Summer Showcase roster.

    WGMHA would like to congratulate KW Rangers goalie Kara Mark on being named to the National Women's Under-18 Team Summer Camp. The camp is being held in Calgary, Alberta from July 28th until August 6th.

    Dear Ravens,

    We are excited about the 2021-22 season. Getting back on the ice, playing games, participating in tournaments, hosting tournaments, celebrating 20 seasons and seeing friends and colleagues are all in store. This is the 20th year of providing Waterloo with a female hockey program. Happy 20th Anniversary to us! Celebration activities are being planned throughout the year. Stay tuned for more details to learn how you can join in the celebrations.

    Waterloo Region – Starting today, everyone who is 12 years of age or older can pre-register for the COVID-19 vaccine in Waterloo Region. Pre-registration is expanding locally as the Province announces a stable and reliable vaccine supply in Ontario.

    Health Canada recently approved the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for anyone 12-15 years of age. Individuals who are 12-17 years old will receive the Pfizer vaccine when it is their turn to get an appointment. The Moderna COVID-19 vaccine is approved for anyone 18 year of age and older. COVID-19 vaccination is not recommended for anyone younger than 12 years of age at this time.

    The WGMHA is seeking expressions of interest in coaching any of our U11, U13, U15 or U18 Tier 3 teams in Representative Hockey for the 2021-22 season upcoming.  The League Management Committee of the WGMHA can be contacted at [email protected]. A member of LMC will reach out to discuss your interest in advance of a formal application process.   Deadline: February 10th, 2021.
