    WGMHA is pleased to announce that Chris Holdsworth has joined us as our Admin Assistant. Chris brings a wealth of professional and volunteer experiences to our organization. 

    Chris will be in the Ravens office  Mondays 10 am - 6 pm; Tuesdays 8 am - 4:30 pm; Wednesdays 10 am - 8 pm and Thursdays 8 am - 4:30 pm. Please stop by say hello and introduce yourself. He can also be reached at [email protected]

    Head Coach selection for the 2019-20 season is now underway for remaining Ravens Rep hockey teams. 
    As previously announced, this year there will be three stages to recruitment: 

    Spring tryout teams - Head Coaches have been named for Midget AA - Darrell Husk, Midget A - Marcel Gaudet, Bantam AA - Dave Morrow, Bantam A - Brian Bourque, Peewee AA - Bryan Snyder. Peewee A Coach to be named prior to spring tryouts. Applications welcomed immediately

    All other rep head coaches (April/May) - Applications can be submitted now. Coaches to be selected immediately after Spring Tryouts end;

    The WGMHA is proud to announce the “High Performance Training Program (HPTP) for AA/A” which will commence for the 2019-20 Season for all AA & A Waterloo Ravens teams, players, coaches and staff from Midget to PeeWee.  HPTP is an expansion of the existing development partnership with the University of Waterloo focused on AA/A.

    The key to each player’s success in the highly competitive, skilled and fast-paced world of hockey is separating him or her from the many other talented players out there.  Whether you are competing for a position on a team, competing for ice time when you make the team, or competing against the top players from other teams, you must have an edge and separate yourself from them.  Natural talent alone will not provide you with the separating factor;  our training will.  This principle applies as much, if not more in the academic setting, in which there there is incredible competition among students competing for positions in universities and colleges.

    The City of Waterloo Museum’s newest exhibit looks at local sports and recreation. The display of objects, archival materials, and modern photography compares and contrasts early local athletes and present-day ones who have made, and are making important contributions to our local sports legacy.
