Completed applications must be received by [email protected]  6 pm on May 1, 2019

The Waterloo Ravens has been built from the ground up through a strong volunteer base. This organization would not be able to exist without this valuable resource and as such we would like to give back to the players who have not only invested their time to play, but have invested their time to give back to this great organization. The main criteria for the Robert Hennig Scholarship are that the applicants demonstrated commitment to the Ravens through sportsmanship and volunteering within our organization. This is not an academic scholarship.  The Waterloo Girls Minor Hockey Association (WGMHA) goal is for players one day to return to our organization in the future as either coaches, players or parents!

General:

1.     Robert Hennig Scholarships will be awarded to Waterloo Girls Minor Hockey Association registered members who apply and who best combine the qualifications set out in the application package. WGMHA wants to give recognition to members who develop their academic career aspirations, while at the same time nourishing their interest in hockey.

2.     Robert Hennig Scholarships, up to two (2) each in the amount of $1,000.00 will be awarded annually at the WGMHA Annual General Meeting held in June of each year. The WGMHA reserves the right to expand, limit or cancel this program at any time. The amount of scholarships issued in any given year is based on the eligibility guidelines set below. If there are no candidates who qualify based on the criteria below, with a strong emphasis on volunteerism, then the WGMHA reserves the right not to award the scholarships in any given year.

3.     The purpose of the Robert Hennig Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to players in furthering their education at      a post-secondary institution of their choice.
