The following information should serve to answers questions about the Peewee DS team and tryout procedures. If you have any questions, please feel free to speak with me before or after any of the tryout sessions. The rest of the coaching team will be chosen following the team selection process.
Tryouts are scheduled for:
· Friday November 17 8 PM- 9 PM Moses Springer
· Thursday November 30 7:30 PM-8:30 PM Albert McCormick West
All Peewee House League players are invited and encouraged to attend the tryouts.
This year we would like to roster between 22-25 players for the Peewee DS team. The Primary Roster will consist of 2 goalies, 6 defence, and 9 forwards. My hope is to also have at least 5 Alternate Roster players that can attend all practices and will be given the opportunity to play in games when Primary Roster player are unable to attend.
The team will have 8 exhibition games (4 home and 4 away) and 10 practices.
We are planning on attending the following 2 tournaments:
· March 9-11 Toronto Leaside March Break Madness Tournament (Toronto, On)
· May 29-April 01 Brampton Canadettes Easter Tournament (Brampton, ON)
A possible alternate is:
· Feb 15-Feb 18 Durham West Girls' Hockey Bolts & Hearts Tournament (Pickering, ON)
Successful players are responsible for paying the following: Team Fees will be roughly $320 for a full roster player and $75 for practice players.
