The Waterloo Raven's Girls Hockey Association celebrated World Women's Hockey Day on Saturday October 13 2012 with a full day of great hockey. The day started with Canadian Olympians running skills for 80 young ladies and culminated with a great game between the Waterloo Ravens Midget AA team and their cross town rivals from Kitchener. The Ravens opened their 2012 season with a hard fought 1-0 victory, with solid goaltending from Bruggs and an all round solid team effort.
The Midget AA Raven's travel to Niagara falls on Sunday for their first road game of the year.
