A Cold Start and a Strong Finish for a 3-0 Win
Nothing like an early Saturday morning game at the Columbia Icefield, where it always feels cold like the middle of winter. We're continuing to play really well and improving each game. We played three solid periods, battling for the puck in all zones and regrouping well. Even missing three players, we managed to build momentum as the game progressed. Brigitte's goal on her own rebound in the 3rd period really opened the game up for us. She played a really strong game.
As a team, we seemed to be able to motivate ourselves to overcome additional external adversity, rather than get distracted by it that should serve us well as the season continues. We did a good job passing the puck in front of the net and will continue to work on converting those passes to good shots on net. We kept the Stratford goalie busy and she played very well.
