Ravens PeeWee B2 -- Table sheets at tryouts - in case you didn't get a copy
Dear Players and Parents,   Welcome to the Waterloo Ravens Novice B2 team tryouts!  The following document should serve to answers questions about the Novice B team and tryout procedures.  If you have any questions, please feel free to speak with me before or after the tryout sessions. My coaching philosophy and more detailed information on plans for the upcoming season can be found on the team website.  http://waterlooravens.com

 Coaching Staff:

 Mark Stapleton                                    Head Coach

The rest of the coaching/bench staff will be chosen following the team selection process. Tryouts: Unfortunately, not everyone can play on this team.  The tryout and release process can be a difficult and emotional time for players and parents.   All players will be afforded a minimum of 2 tryouts. ·      Please arrive 45 minutes prior to the ice time and have players dressed at least 10 minutes before the scheduled ice time. Note that only females are allowed in the dressing room until players are fully dressed. ·

Tryout jerseys must be returned after each tryout ·
Please inform a member of the coaching staff if your child is unable to attend a tryout or is withdrawing from the tryout process.

Try-out Schedule:
Thursday, Sept 18 6:30 PM-7:30 PM Albert McCormick West
Friday, Sept 19         6:00 PM-7:00 PM RIM - LIONS First Releases

Player releases will be done online on the Waterloo Ravens website.  The team website will be updated within 2-3 hours after the tryout concludes.  Check the Waterloo Ravens website team page to see the player numbers who are being asked to return to the next try out.  The final releases will be done in person at the conclusion of the last tryout

 Notes: ·
Tryouts for Peewee B2 reset after B1.  All players are afforded a clean slate. ·  Not all players will dress for Exhibition Games.  All players will be expected to attend.

Please do NOT feel that being released is the end of the hockey road.  Hockey at any level is more than just a game because it teaches so many life skills used outside the game.  Win or lose, superstar or average player, hockey instills teamwork, self-discipline, commitment, determination and builds friendships that can last a lifetime.  Social skills such as sportsmanship, communication, trust and respect learned at the rink help to develop a positive self-image.  As the season progresses, players will realize which team they play on becomes secondary to having fun, playing with friends and trying to be their best.   Think positive, have fun, play hard. Coach Mark
