Here is the handout information:

Welcome to the Waterloo Ravens Peewee DS 2019-2020 season!  My name is John Kienitz and I have the pleasure to be the Head Coach for this team.  The following information is intended to provide some general information on the team and the tryout process.  More specific details will follow and can be found on the team website: https://waterlooravens.com/Teams/2085/

Tryouts are scheduled for:
1.  Sunday, November 17 3:00-4:00PM @ Moses Springer
2.  Friday, November 29  6:00-7:00PM  @ Moses Springer
-  All Peewee House League players are encouraged to attend.
-  There will be no releases following the first tryout.  See the website for the jersey numbers of those selected to play on this team after the final tryout.
-  The plan is to have a 17-player Primary Roster consisting of 2 goalies, 6 defence, and 9 forwards.
-  I also hope to be able to have some alternate players that will attend all practices and be given the opportunity to play in games when a Primary Roster is unable to attend.

Games / Practices / Tournaments:
-  There will be a total of 4 home and 4 away exhibition games and approx. 8-10 additional practices that will occur between December and the beginning of April.
-  The schedule is currently being worked on and will be posted to the team website calendar.
-  This team will also compete in 2 tournaments:
o   Jan. 3-5 Scarborough 36th Annual New Year’s Classic Tournament
o   April 9-12 Brampton Canadettes 53rd Annual Easter Tournament

Team Fees:
-  Each player selected on the Primary Roster will be responsible for paying approx. $400-450
-  These mandatory fees include WMGHA dues to cover all games & practices, and tournament registration for 2 tournaments.  Additional travel costs, including hotel stays will be in addition to this. · -  Fees for alternate players will be approx. $75-100

Commitment and Expectations:
The Peewee DS team provides the opportunity for House League players to enjoy additional practices, games and tournaments throughout the year.   It is expected that your child remains committed to their regular house league team.  The primary goal for our team is to ensure the girls have FUN and continue to develop a love for the game of hockey.  Our focus will be on player/skill development and instilling a strong sense of TEAM.
