Waterloo K-W Rangers Weekly Wrap Up!
Waterloo K-W Rangers were back in action this week posting a tie on Wednesday night against the Ridley College Tigers and earning a win in their road game against Cambridge Rivulettes on Friday.

In a rare Wednesday night game, Waterloo K-W Rangers donned their Ravens jerseys and played to a 2-2 tie against Ridley College Tigers. It was a delight to have the Rookie Ravens Plus team take a skate around the arena and stay to cheer us on in what turned out to be an exciting game!

Jalen Duffy of Waterloo opened the scoring in the second period, teaming up with Lillian Bell on a power play goal. Unfortunately, the Tigers shot back to tie the game less than three minutes later, sending the teams to the break tied at 1.

Ridley struck again halfway through the third to capture their first lead of the game. Undaunted, Rangers kept pushing and their reward came in the dying seconds of the game as Avery Cant, assisted by Caitlin Kraemer and April Reiner, netted the tying goal. Despite an exciting 3 on 3 OT period, the game ended in a tie. Kara Mark rose to the occasion, stopping 20 of the 22 shots she faced.

Rangers took to the ice again last night travelling down the road to face their perennial rival the Cambridge Rivulettes. After an evenly matched opening period, Waterloo’s Avery Cant put the Rangers on the board at 11:20 in the 2nd period off a play from April Reiner and Taylor Storey. But the Rivs struck back to tie the game, netting a short handed goal with 3:06 remaining in the frame.

Rangers struck again in the third. With just 2:21 left on the clock, Caitlin Kraemer scored the winner assisted by Avery Cant and April Reiner. Julia Bachetti stood tall in net, turning away 24 of the 25 shots on the night.

Come out and cheer on your Waterloo K-W Rangers as they take on London Devilettes at RIM Pillers tomorrow. Puck drop at 3 pm!
