        On behalf of my coaching staff and evaluators I would like to thank all the players who have been out to try outs so far.
        The following players should return for our first inter-squad game, Monday the 21st, at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation complex.
     
    Blue 2,3,4,6,7,8,10,11,12,14,16,17,18,21.22,23,25,29,35
    Red 1,2,4,5,8,11,13,15,16,19,26,27,28,29,33

    Attention: OWHA Players born between 1997-2000 Inclusive   The Ontario Women's Hockey Association (OWHA) will be sending a team to the Canada Winter Games in February 2015.  The Games will take place in Prince George, B.C.  This National Championship will also feature teams from each Province and Territories. The team will consist of 18 skaters and two goaltenders.

    Please note that due to changes in the Tier 1 Tryout schedules we have extended the application deadline for Tier 2 & 3 Coaching applications to Monday May 5th, 2014. This will allow potential coaches to determine the results of Tier 1 tryouts before having to declare an interest. We will endeavour to meet all other dates in the process as outlined on Coaches tab.

    The WGMHA are pleased to announce Robert Doran has been appointed as the Head Coach of our Midget AA team for the 2014/2015 season. Robert has spent 6 years coaching within the Ravens at the Midget BB and Intermediate A levels. The past two seasons has been as the Head Coach. In addition to his time in the Ravens, he has also coached in the Kitchener Minor Hockey Association at the Pee Wee AAA level. Robert is a student of the game and has played at high levels in Minor Hockey.    Read More

    UPDATE ALERT APRIL 15th 3PM - View Current Tryout Schedule

    The WGMHA are pleased to announce the Spring Tryout Schedule for the 2014-15 Tier 1 Rep Teams. Please find the most current schedule on website. Note the OWHA has indicated that Associations may not issue or accept Permission to Skate forms until April 21, 2014. Therefore, should a tryout take place prior to that date, only players who played in the WGMHA this past season are permitted to attend. Any players wishing to tryout from other Associations must wait until April 21, 2014.

    Notice of the WGMHA Annual General Meeting to be held Wednesday June 18, 2014 at 6:30pm in the Forbes Room RIM Park, Waterloo. Nominations for positions on the Board of Directors, for election at the Meeting, must be submitted in writing to the Chair of the Nominating Committee within fourteen (14) days prior to June 18, 2014.     Alumni’s from years gone by welcome!! The charity of choice for the Roadbreakers is Pride Stables, a therapeutic horseback riding program for children with disabilities. Many can't participate in sports and this program gives them an outlet most take for granted

    Do you want to help children at risk of abuse and/or neglect attend recreational opportunities such as hockey!  For many of the children served by Family and Children’s Services, camp, or other recreational activities, is not an option. The chance to play hockey, learn an instrument, or go to summer camp just are not possible without the support of this community.

    The Waterloo Ravens family extends sincere condolences and sympathies to the family of Jakob Beacock, who passed away this morning after a brief illness.  Jakob played hockey with the Waterloo Wolves, and his sister Alex is a Waterloo Raven.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the Beacock family.  Remembering Jakob Beacock

    The Championship Finals of the Waterloo Cup are on Saturday. We should have 7 interesting games to watch and the Novice Skills Competition. All the action is at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex.

    The action begins at 8 am with the Novice Skills Competition, followed by the Novice Final, Atom Consolation Game, Atom Final, Midget Final, Intermediate Final, Bantam Final and Peewee Final. Read More
