Athletic Therapy clinic at the University of Waterloo

The Athletic Therapy clinic at the University of Waterloo is open to members of the community.

What is Athletic Therapy?

University of Waterloo Athletic Therapy is committed to helping the community return to daily life after injury. We are open to students and community members to provide services in:
 
  • Musculoskeletal (muscles, bones, joints) injury rehabilitation and prevention
  • Vestibular assessment and rehabilitation (vertigo and dizziness)
  • Personalized home exercise programs tailored to your specific activity goals
  • Therapeutic modalities
  • Bracing and taping
Our Certified Athletic Therapists specialize in on-field emergency and clinical care of athletes and community members of all ages and skill level using the treatment methods mentioned above.

Our Staff

Melissa Trinh – Certified Athletic Therapist
  • Completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo
  • Worked at the University as a student trainer with various sports teams and as the clinic co-op student
  • Completed her Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences in Athletic Therapy at Sheridan College
  • Has worked on-field, and in clinic settings with clients of all ages
  • She enjoys playing volleyball, hiking and paddle boarding

Cost

  • Initial assessment and treatment (1 hour) - $85
  • Follow up treatment (30 minutes) - $50
