2020-21 Coaching Applications being accepted for Novice Program, HL, and DS, News (Waterloo Ravens Girls Minor Hockey Association )

Hockey Canada, as a result of COVID-19 and in support of player and participant safety, has cancelled all Hockey Canada sanctioned activities until further notice, effective Friday, March 13, 2020. This means that ALL Ravens practices, games, try-outs, dry-land and team activities are cancelled until further notice. Tournaments, playoffs, play downs, Championship Weekend, Provincials and the Waterloo Cup are also cancelled.

2020-21 Coaching Applications being accepted for Novice Program, HL, and DS

The Waterloo Ravens are now accepting applications for the following:
- House League Head Coaches (U11 to U21)
- Development Stream (DS) Head Coaches (U11 to U18)
- Novice Program staff applications; Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Trainers and On-ice Assistants

House League (U11 to U21): Those interested in volunteering to be a Head Coach for a House League Team and/or Development Stream (DS) Team are asked to complete the following application and submit to the Coaching Selection Committee:[email protected]

Please save the application with your name and attach it to the email. Applications will be accepted until 11:00 pm, April 30th, 2020 after which selection will begin. 


WGMHA thanks all interested candidates (non-parents and parents) for their willingness to volunteer and dedicate their expertise to building the game of hockey. All applications will be acknowledged and interviews may be conducted.

U9 (Novice) Program: Those interested in helping with the U9 Half-ice Program may complete the application above and enter the role you would like to fill. There are drop downs to select U9 LTPD. You do not need to enter a staff as all U9 players age 7 & 8 will start the season as a pool of players. Teams will be formed in October by the coaching staff. For detailed information on the U9 Program refer to the WGMHA-Novice-Program-Handbook

Please save the application with your name and attach it to the email. Applications will be accepted until September 2020. Staff will be formed over the summer as applications arrive.  

Note: U9 Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches are required to have Coach 1. If required, please work to complete this course before the season begins. 

Note: No U9 aged player will be permitted to move up to U11 for the 2020-21 season as per OWHA rule.
