WGMHA 2021-2022 Season Registration
Submitted By WGMHA on Monday, May 31, 2021
Dear Ravens,

We are excited about the 2021-22 season. Getting back on the ice, playing games, participating in tournaments, hosting tournaments, celebrating 20 seasons and seeing friends and colleagues are all in store. This is the 20th year of providing Waterloo with a female hockey program. Happy 20th Anniversary to us! Celebration activities are being planned throughout the year. Stay tuned for more details to learn how you can join in the celebrations.

Registration is now open.

COVID-19 provided many challenges and opportunities and, most of all, it showed how resilient Ravens are. Coaches, players, and families all adjusted, readjusted, came out to play and supported each other through the year. It was a different year for sure and we want to thank all of you for supporting your Ravens organization.

2021-2022 is a new season and plans are already in place for it to be a fantastic year. We are currently offering Learn to Skate, Rookie Ravens, Rookie Ravens Plus, House League and Rep programming and also hope to offer Power Skating and Goalie Clinics again in the fall. We also are planning to host our tournaments again, once we have received approval from OWHA to proceed.

Specific details on each of the programs can be found on the website under the Registration tab or by contacting Steve Woods, Director Rep Hockey, [email protected]om, Ryan Terpstra, Director House League Hockey, [email protected]m  or Chris Holdsworth, Admin Assistant [email protected].com .

Our base registration fee is $625 for HL and Rep programs and is due upon registration. Fees for Learn to Skate, Rookie Ravens, Rookie Ravens Plus and Senior can be found on the Ravens website under the Registration tab as well in the RAMP registration system. We are happy to let you know that over the past year we received some COVID-19 relief funding (e.g. reduction in Hockey Canada fees, special allocation by the WGMHA Board) and are pleased to be able to pass this on to all 2021-22 registrants in the form of a $20 refund once registration closes in the fall.

For players interested in Rep programs, we hope to be back on the ice prior to Labour Day. At this point, try-outs are not permitted, however we do hope to have camps late August/early September to finalize player placement.

For players interested in House League Programs, we will be returning to our usual player placement weekends in late September with practices starting in early-October. U8 and U9 Programs will begin mid-September with practices. Exact dates will be posted by Labour Day.

Please register for the season as soon as you can as this helps us better plan based on player numbers. Please note that U8 to U18 base registration fees increase by $100 after July 31st, 2021.

To register, please click on the following link or select the Registration tab on the left side of the Raven's website home page.

We are so glad to have you back with us again this season. It will be a great one!

In the meantime, enjoy the terrific spring and summer!

Don’t forget about our Annual General Meeting on June 17th, 2021. Hope to see you there.

Be Kind, Be Safe, Stay Healthy,

Sandra Hanmer
