House League Startup Information; U8 to U22
Submitted By Ryan Terpstra on Thursday, September 9, 2021
The following outlines the House League Program startup.

U8, U9 and U11 will start in September with group practices. All players that signed up for U8, U9 and U11 will practice together on the ice for the duration of the season. Once formed, the U9 Tiered Competitive Team will add additional practices. All U9 players may tryout for the U9 Competitive Team. Tryouts will not begin until October. Refer to the following Calendars to see your ice times:

U8 #1 Calendar (All U8 players will practice together; teams TBD over October with games starting after Nov 1st)
U9 #1 Calendar  or U9 #2 Calendar (All U9 players will practice together; teams TBD over October for games starting after Nov 1st, Tiered U9 and U9 HL selections will be done over October with no tryouts until after Thanksgiving)
U11 #1 Calendar or U11 #2 Calendar (All U11 HL players will practice together; teams TBD early October for games starting after Thanksgiving. The U11 players will practice together all season. We are still looking for Head Coaches for U11 HL. Please contact [email protected] to apply.

U22 HL: U22 HL Calendar U22 will begin with an Inter-squad scrimmage on Oct 3rd. We do not have sufficient players to create a team as of today. We will keep registrations open until October 1st but if we cannot get enough players we will have to cancel the team. Please register asap if you have not done so. This team will play in the KGLL with 12 games each half, about 1 per week. The Ravens will aim to schedule a Home game each Sunday at 9:30pm, but this depends on other teams scheduling that time with us. Away game times will vary. This team will not practice and will only play games. We are also looking for a Head Coach for this team. Please contact [email protected] to apply.

U13 to U18 HL: HL Evaluations will take place for U13 to U15 divisions by running group skills practices for all HL players. U18 HL will run scrimmages with teams determined next week and players notified of when they will play. Numbered jerseys will be presented prior to each ice session and returned as players leave. The calendar times are on the HL Evaluations Calendar so please add them to your calendar. HL teams will not be formalized until the first week of October so the individual team calendars are not utilized at this time (only the first team is added to the HL Evaluations (shared) so you can see which division the ice time is for. For example, this appointment is for ALL U13 HL Players with last name A to L:
5:00 PM-6:00 PM Skills Practice (A-L Last name) with U13 #1 AMCC - Ice East

Here is the HL Evaluations Calendar showing U13 to U18 HL September ice times:

Here is the schedule for HL in September shown on the above Calendar:

U18 Scrimmages (for all U18 HL): Each player will play in only 1 of the 2 scrimmages (goalies may need to play 2 games). These are not the final teams for U18, but rather simply teams made for a scrimmage. Currently we are looking at 3 U18 HL teams this season.
Sept 22rd, Albert McCormick, Team A vs B; Team List coming soon @ 8pm
Sept 22rd, Albert McCormick, Team C vs D; Team List coming soon @ 9pm
Sept 26th, RIM Pillers, Team A vs C; Team List coming soon @ 9:30pm
Sept 27th, RIM Optimists, Team B vs D; Team List coming soon @ 830pm

Please try to attend your scheduled session. Goalies may attend back-to-back sessions for Skills or HL Evaluations if they wish. There will be some individual goalie training provided in the Skills sessions but for HL Evaluations it will just be shots in various drills. Having goalies present is welcome, so goalies are welcome to attend both ice times.
