September 17 Update From OWHA
Submitted By WGMHA on Saturday, September 18, 2021
Dear Ravens,

Late last evening we received a Bulletin From OWHA. I encourage everyone to read the materials in the Bulletin.

We will be participating in the all Associations call on Wednesday, September 22. We will provide further communication to everyone after that call.  In the meantime, please continue to practice COVID-19 protocols: wear a mask, keep socially distanced, wash your hands and get a vaccination if you are eligible.

Earlier this week, we shared with you that the City facilities may be requiring all people over the age of 18 (regardless of whether you are member of the coaching staff) to show identification and proof of vaccination starting on Wednesday, September 22. We have shared the OWHA information with the City and are seeking clarification on the City processes that will go into effect on Wednesday.

I’m sure by now all of you have heard the very sad news of a child under 10 in our Region dying from COVID-19. I know that there were underlying medical conditions, in this case, however it does emphasize that this virus is real and we all need to do what we can to help stop the spread.

Please continue to raise your comments, questions and suggestions.

Take care,

Be Kind, Be Safe, Stay Healthy,

Sandra Hanmer

President, WGMHA
