WGMHA COVID-19 Vaccination Update - October 5th, 2021
Submitted By WGMHA on Tuesday, October 5, 2021
Dear Ravens Families,

Late yesterday we received further direction from OWHA regarding COVID-19 vaccinations. We wanted share to these updates with you as quickly as we could. Please note the following:

On October 4, 2021, OWHA mandated that as a condition of eligibility to participate in any OWHA sanctioned activities, all staff, Coaching Staff, players, Board members, and volunteers, who are eligible, must provide to WGMHA evidence demonstrating that they have completed a series (2 doses) of an accepted COVID-19 vaccine by October 17, 2021, or earlier.

As of October 17, 2021, any WGMHA staff, Coaching Staff, player, Board member, or volunteer who has not provided proof of vaccination (receipt of second dose) or who has not been granted an accommodation, will no longer be eligible to participate in any sanctioned activities until such time as you have provided proof that you are Fully Vaccinated (two doses and the 14 day wait period completed) or provided proof that you have an approved medical exemption.

Our Ravens Vaccination Program Policy has been updated to reflect the information above. A revised policy can be found on the Ravens website.

Thank you to those who have completed their Vaccination Status Form. However, we still have some players and coaching staff who have not yet completed the Vaccination Status Form.  If you have not completed your Vaccination Status Form, please do so by Thursday October 7th 2021. Failure to comply by October 7th will result in the player and or Coaching Staff member no longer be eligible to participate in any activities until such time as completed Vaccination Status Forms have been received.

We are beginning to follow up with players/coaching staff members who are not Fully Vaccinated in order to be able to plan for what will happen after October 17, 2021.  If you have updated vaccination information to provide, please sent it to [email protected]ns.com

It’s been great to be at the arenas and seeing so many really enjoying being back on the ice. Thank you for continuing to do your part (wash your hands, wear a mask, stay socially distanced) to help us create a safe environment to play and enjoy our sport.

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy, healthy Thanksgiving weekend!

Be Kind, Be Safe, Stay Healthy,

Sandra Hanmer
