The purpose of the Marathon and Fundraiser is to promote female hockey and raise money towards the fight against breast cancer.

There will be 14 hours of female hockey games including a Provincial Women's Hockey League game (PWHL) at 12:00pm Ontario University Association game (OUA) at 2:30pm and for the first time in the Waterloo Region a Canadian Women's Hockey League game (CWHL) will be played at 5:00pm. Throughout the day local girls’ rep teams and house league teams will be Playing for Pink. All games will be played at RIM Park.
