Spring Tryout Information
What's New?
- ALL current WGHA players are required to register online through RAMP and must complete registration and payment for EACH tier they attend
- U22 AA Elite tryouts are by invitation only; all players (WGHA and non-WGHA) may be released after one tryout; contact the Head Coach with any questions
Current WGHA Players (Players Registered with WGHA in 2025-26)
- Internal skills sessions for all tiers within a division will be held Monday, April 13th, 2026 (e.g. U18 AA/U18 A/U18 BB/U18 B will have a shared skills session); sessions may be split by tier or last name depending on registration numbers
- ALL players must attend their skills session unless granted permission in writing in advance by the Head Coach
- Skill sessions count as one (1) tryout
- Players cannot be released before completing two (2) tryouts
- NEW - All current WGHA players are required to register online through RAMP and must complete registration and payment for EACH tier they attend; there is a separate registration package in RAMP for EACH tier within a division
- Permission to Tryout (PTT) - Players are not eligible to try out with a different association until Tuesday, April 14th per OWHA rules and MUST request a Permission to Tryout form from WGHA
Non-WGHA Players (Players Not Registered with WGHA in 2025-26)
- Non-WGHA players will be permitted to attend tryouts starting Tuesday, April 14th, 2026, per OWHA policy
- All non-WGHA players are required to register online in RAMP and must re-register and pay the registration fee for every tier they attend; there is a separate registration package in RAMP for EACH tier within a division
- Import restrictions apply; it is suggested that families contact the Head Coach and familiarize themselves with the WGHA Import Policy
- ALL players must attend the first available tryout unless granted permission in writing in advance by the Head Coach
- Permission to Tryout (PTT) Forms must be emailed to [email protected] or presented at the first tryout before going on the ice
- Non-WGHA players can be released after one (1) tryout
PTT Form NOT Required If:
- Moving from boys' hockey to girls’ hockey (exceptions apply if not released from a previous OWHA association)
- Never played hockey before and has never been registered with an association
Registration and Fees
- Registration via RAMP: Spring Tryout Registration Link
- Register for your 2026-2027 season age group (based on birth year)
- Registration will be done in the 2025-2026 season in RAMP as the 2026-2027 season has not been created by the OWHA
- NEW - ALL current WGHA Players are required to register online through RAMP and must complete registration and payment for EACH tier they attend; there is a separate registration package in RAMP for EACH tier within a division
- Tryout fees for current WGHA players are: Tier 1 $65, Tier 2 $50, Tier 3 $40, Tier 4 $30 (Skills session included)
- All Non-WGHA players pay a fee of $75 per tier and must re-register and pay for tryouts in every tier they want to attend; there is a separate registration package in RAMP for every tier within a division
- Tryout fees are non-refundable and must be paid by credit card
- Players are not permitted to participate any any on-ice activities until registration is complete and all required fees are paid
