The Waterloo Girls Minor Hockey Association wishes to extend to you and your team a cordial invitation to our 22nd Annual Hockey Tournament.  This year the event will be held on October 31 to November 3, 2024 . Note, only local older teams will play Thursday night (if needed).

DIVISIONS

The tournament will be comprised of the following divisions:

  • U9 - B
  • U11 - AA/A/BB/B
  • U13 - AA/A/BB/B
  • U15 - A/BB/B
  • U18 - A/BB/B

Divisions of less than four teams will not run. Games may begin as early as 7:00 am. All teams will be guaranteed a four games at a minimum. Please note as per Hockey Canada guidelines U9 is a Festival no playoffs.

GAME LENGTHS (stopped time)

  • U9 - Two (2) 20 min halves;
  • U13AA, U15A, U18A and U18BB: 12-15-15;
  • All other divisions: 12-12-12.

AWARDS

  • U9 participation medals will be awarded on Sunday's final game match up.
  • For all other divisions, Gold and Silver medals are to be awarded at Championship Game; and Championship Banners to division winners.

LOCATION

Location of all venues such as Rim Park (Headquarters), Albert McCormick, Waterloo Recreation Centre, Columbia Ice Fields, Moses Springer are minutes away from the Waterloo Farmers Market and the Village of St. Jacob's. A short drive to either Farview Mall or Conestoga Mall, Galaxy Cineplex, Bingemans (bowling, escape rooms, arcade, restaurant).  In addition, there are many walking trails within a short distance away that depending on the weather lots have enjoyed in between as well.

RATES

  • U9 - $1,250
  • U13AA, U15A, U18A, and U18BB (longer games) - $1,750.00
  • All other divisions - $1,500.00

Apply early, some divisions fill quickly and hotels will fill quickly.

Applicants not necessarily accepted on a first-come first-serve basis.
REFUNDS - if you are unable to attend the tournament, for reasons including, but not limited to, inclement weather, flight cancellations, or automobile mechanical failures, or, if the tournament is interrupted or completely cancelled, through no fault of ours, no refunds will be provided.
