Waterloo Cup Results
Submitted By Ryan Terpstra on Sunday, April 14, 2019
The Ravens House League season concluded Saturday, April 13th, with an exciting day of great hockey. The 2018-19 Waterloo Cup saw every final game finish in exciting style...

Novice 3 took the first gold in a high scoring, exciting battle with a 7-6 win over Novice 2.

Atom 2 won gold over Atom 1 in a 2 game series with a tie in the final game 4-4 (first to 3 pts).

Midget 1 claimed gold over Midget 3 in a tight 3-2 game with a nail-biter finish.

PeeWee 1 vs PeeWee 2 went back and forth finishing 1-1 after overtime. PeeWee 1 captured the gold in a shootout victory.

Bantam 2 scored on the empty net to win 3-1 over Bantam 3 who came so close to tying it up after being down 2-0.

House League teams are formed with the intention of having balanced teams. Yet again, our House League Convener has done an exceptional job and I want to thank Kevin Matsui for all his dedication and commitment to the Ravens HL program! Additionally, scheduling all the ice times is no easy task. A big thanks to Kelly Barton for the excellent job making our HL schedules! Thank you Kelly & Kevin for another fantastic season!

"For the kids , For the game, For the fun of it!" happens because of our volunteers. To all the Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Trainers, Bench and Dressing Room Staff, Managers and everyone who lent a hand this season I thank you! Special shout out to the youth on Staff's. Seeing our Ravens players now helping on the bench as Assistant Coaches and Trainers is simply awesome.

Looking forward to another great Ravens House League Season in 2019-20! To our Midget players graduating, may the road ahead include a smooth sheet of ice, a stick, a puck and achieving your goals.
