Ravens Atom A vs London Devilettes
London made a deal with the devil to come up with a 1 - 0 win over the Ravens.

The Ravens were down a player to the 24 hour flu as they made the early morning migration to London to take on the Devilettes. The girls started the period with some very hard, aggressive fore-checking that kept London along the boards. London tried to get the puck in deep but the defensive duo of Meghan Bender and Annika Craig stood their ground and forced the Devilettes back into the neutral zone. Maryn Gilfillan nearly gave the girls the lead as she waltzed effortlessly into London's zone, then darted, dashed, twisted and twirled in front of the net. A last second pad save was needed to keep the game at NIL - NIL. Olivia McVicar forced the turnover and dished the puck over to Aislinn Roberts as she skated towards the net. The Ravens were turned away once again. Lyla Naughton got in on the action as she tried to take the puck away when her stick inadvertently got stuck under the opponents arm forcing the Ravens to go on the PK. The defense was rock solid clearing the view for Raven's netminder Gabby Wiltsie as the shot made its way on net. Nothing got past Gabby as she turned the puck aside each and every time.

At the start of the second period, Naomi Steinmann and Avery Harris worked the give and go to gain entry into the Devilettes zone. Mia George drove to the net as the puck was sent her way. A diving London player tipped the puck just enough to stop a golden scoring chance. London stepped up their attack as they fired shot after shot on the Ravens net. The girls had their hands full keeping London away from the front of the net. It wasn't until London called upon the dark forces and struck a deal for their souls in exchange for a goal. No one really saw the puck cross the line but when the fire and brimstone cleared, the ref pointed at the net and called it a goal shortly before the second period was over.

Emilly Howe and Bota Hillis teamed up in the third period as if they were in a WWE Royal Rumble Battle. Emily set the opponents up with a flying suplex and Bota would finish them off with the "Chicken Wing" maneuver in the neutral zone. Simone Kuepfer and Lux O.Brien added to London's frustration as they pounded the ends of their hockey sticks into the ice and shouted, "None shall Pass!". With time winding down in the period, and the Raven's goalie pulled, Jessica Nevill made several nifty moves to get past the London forwards and make her way up the long and winding ice. She was just inches away from scoring as she let a blistering howitzer shot from the point.

Great game girls. Keep working hard.
