Provincials Marathon
BANTAM AA's Have a Great Marathon Day

The Ravens Bantam AA had an enjoyable OWHA Provincials even though they didn't move as far as they their goal.

On Friday the tied Etobicoke 1-1 and lost 4-1 to London (who scored 2 empty net goals)

On Saturday with their teams against the wall they were win against Belleville.  Belleville and defeated Waterloo earlier in the season in the semi-finals for the 2 Nations Cup.  Waterloo ended up scoring in the second period and held on for a 1-0 which allowed the team to advance to the next round.

Next up on Saturday was Brampton who Waterloo and not beat all season.  Brampton finished 2nd in the Lower Lakes West Conference.  At the end of regulation the score was 0-0.  Even though the game was scoreless the action was fantastic.  There were numerous quality scoring chances and big saves.  The game ended up going two OT periods before a flood.  After five periods of hockey still 0-0.  The game continued another 3 OT periods (8 total) before the Ravens scored in front of a packed arena to end the marathon game which allowed Waterloo to move onto the next round.

Two hours after the completion of the game versus Brampton the Ravens were ready to play Ottawa.  The energy demonstrated by the Ravens in this game was phenomenal.  The girls rallied together and played with passion and energy.  The game also featured end to end action and after regulation was also tied 0-0.  In the first OT period (Waterloo's 15th period of the day) Ottawa scored.

For all of the Parents and family members at the games were was an overwhelming sense of pride in how hard the girls competed!
