December was a big month for the Waterloo Ravens. We competed at the Brampton Two Nations College Prep Showcase, where we faced strong teams and played some fast, high-level hockey.
Every game at the showcase pushed us to stay focused and disciplined. The pace was quick, and we had to communicate well and support each other in all three zones. It was a great experience to compete in that environment and see how we match up against other strong programs. Even in tight games, we kept battling and stuck to our systems.
Back in league play, we continued building confidence and working on consistency. Our defensive play tightened up, and our puck movement improved as we found better timing and communication on the ice.
Off the ice, December wasn’t just about hockey. To celebrate the holidays, we had a team karaoke night, which was definitely one of the highlights of the month. There were some brave performances, lots of laughs, and a reminder that we’re not just teammates — we’re friends too.
December helped us grow both as players and as a team. We’re proud of the way we competed and excited to carry that energy into the new year.
