Atom Tier 2 Tryouts

Hello Atom Families!

Here we are in the month of August and we are talking hockey and I trust everyone is having an amazing summer!

It is very important that you register for tryouts and preferably much before the dates listed in the calendar. If you haven't signed up for tryouts, please do so ASAP as it helps us logistically plan all the tryout events ahead of the dates.

IF YOU ATTENDED TIER 1 TRYOUTS IN THE SPRING, YOU DO NOT NEED TO RE-REGISTER.

WELCOME FAMILIES TO ATOM T2 Tryouts

For the families that don't know who I am, my name is Rick Tokarz and I have been coaching in the Waterloo Ravens organization for the past 6 years, working with multiple teams per year in an assistant coach role and a goalie coaching role.

Last year I added Head Coach to my list as I took on the Atom B rep team.

I am NCCP D1 accredited along with a Hockey Canada High Performance Goaltending Coaching accreditation for levels 1 & 2

I have a simple philosophy with 3 golden rules that will govern this team as we move into the 2018/2019 season.

1) Develop individual and team hockey skills getting the players ready for the next level of their hockey journey and development.

2) Develop intra personal skills conducive of playing hockey on a rep team

3) Have tons of fun along the way, at its roots... Hockey is supposed to be fun at any and all levels!

Be prepared for the following as a high level expectation for our team.

A) 100+ ice times including practices/games and tourneys

B) ABSOULTE 0 tolerance to bullying... This will be strictly enforced.. we are here to have a positive life experience. WE ARE A TEAM!

C) Full attention and respect to be shown to all team staff, including trainer(s), room moms, manager and coaches at all times!

D) Arrive at practices committed and on time. Arrival time to practices 30-45min before the start time. Ready 10 min prior in the dressing room for coaches talk

E) Arrive at games committed and ready to warm up and play. This is both mind and body. Arrive at the rink 60 min prior to game start time for warm up with the trainer and mental prep time.

F) Make some new friends, see some old friends and make new amazing memories that will last a life time.

Our team calendar is posted on the website, more details to come so watch the page for updates.
