Team Meeting Tomorrow
The Novice Tier 1 Ravens will be having a team meeting tomorrow evening to introduce our yearly plans to the players and the parents.
We ask that at least one parent and all players attend the meeting which will be held at RIM Park in Room 104 from 6:30 to 8pm.
The girls will attend the first half of the meeting and then Coach Gerry will be taking them outside for some fun team building activities and get to know you games. So please have the girls dressed in running shoes and comfortable clothing so they will be able to run around.
At the meeting the girls will signing our roster for the year and parents are asked to bring their cheque book as we will be reviewing the budget and our yearly plan for the team.
Also please ask the girls to think of 3 numbers they would like to wear on their jerseys this year as I will be asking them tomorrow.
To have a successful year it is imperative to have parent support in many aspects of he team so I ask parents to think about ways they can help. Here are some of the roles I will be looking for support in: Treasurer, Room moms, Social Committee, Fundraising, Ravens Tourney Co-ordinator and video.
As all of you probably know we are in a tournament this coming weekend in Markham. Our game times are very favourable as none of them are crazy early and you could make the drive every day if you wish to do so.
I know some parents have already inquired about which hotel they should stay at. I would suggest looking into rooms at the Hilton Markham/Toronto Suites Hotel as soon as you can......like tonight!!! Due to tryouts leading right up to a few days before the tournament we were unable to book a block of rooms without giving names for the rooms, so at this point I hope you are able to get a room there on your own. If this hotel is full we can give you other options at the meeting tomorrow.
I look forward to meeting many of the families I don't know tomorrow and beginning what I know will be a very fun and exciting season for both the girls and their families!!!
