Organization - Waterloo Ravens Hockey Athletic Excellence Awards--2019/2020 recipients

Thank you again for your continued support of Warriors Athletics & Recreation. I am proud to announce the 2019/2020 recipients of the Waterloo Ravens Hockey Athletic Excellence Awards are as follows:

 Campbell_C.jpg  Chase Campbell (men’s hockey): 1st year from Waterloo, ON in the Recreation & Leisure program
 Chase is in his first year with the Warriors having scored 2 goals and 4 assists in his first 17 games and is studying in the Recreation and Sports Business program. Last season, Chase played for the Kitchener Rangers and Windsor Spitfires of the OHL, tallying 15 points in 64 games played. Over the past five seasons, Chase played 244 OHL games, scoring 28 goals and adding 41 assists. Chase is a quick, intelligent forward who brings a lot of versatility to the Warriors line-up. In just his first season, Chase has been active in the community helping out with the Waterloo Ravens program and summer camps.
 Halagian_N.jpg  Nicholas Halagian (men’s hockey): 4th year from St. Catharines, ON in the Accounting & Financial Management program
 Nick is in his fourth year with the Warriors having put up 45 points (19G, 26A) in 91 games played and is studying in the Accounting and Financial Management Program. Before joining Waterloo, he played a season and a half for Powell River (BCHL) where he played 70 games, scoring 22 goals, adding 37 assists.  Nick also played 136 games in the CHL (OHL, QMJHL) for Sault Ste Marie and Baie Comeau where he scored 13 goals, added 8 assists. Nick always puts the team first and is an active member of the community helping out with the Waterloo Ravens program and Warriors summer camps.
 Schnarr_M.jpg  Mikayla Schnarr (women’s hockey): 1st year from Waterloo, ON in the Health Studies program
 Mikayla is a first year goalie with the Warriors having made nine starts with a .939 save percentage and six wins.  Mikayla is currently third in the league for wins and has also recently secured two back-to-back shutouts against two very strong opponents. Before her outstanding rookie season as a Warrior, Mikayla played in the PWHL for the Kitchener-Waterloo Rangers for three years playing a total of 71 games with 39 wins and 23 ties. Over the three years she boasted a strong save percentage of .934. Mikayla is a Waterloo local who grew up playing minor hockey for the Waterloo Ravens organization. She is currently studying Health Studies at the University.
 Sarnovsky_B.jpg  Brooklyn Sarnovsky (women’s hockey): 4th year from Courtice, ON in the Health Studies program
 Brooklyn is a fourth year defensemen for the Warriors. In her OUA career she has played 81 goals, and has 3 goals and 22 assists. Brooklyn has had a fast start to the season with 5 assists in 13 games which ties her in 9th for defence in the OUA. Brooklyn played one year in the PWHL for Leaside. Here she played 38 games and had 2 goals and 6 assists. Brooklyn is currently studying Health Studies and is planning to return to the program next year for her final year.
