    Dear Ravens Families,

I’m sure that many of you have already heard the news announced by the Premier this morning: “In response to recent trends that show a rapid increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations, Ontario is temporarily moving into Step Two of the Roadmap to Reopen with modifications that take into account the province’s successful vaccination efforts.

As of January 5, 2022 at 12:01 a.m. the following measures will be in place for at least 21 days (until January 27) subject to trends in public health and our health system. Hockey activities are paused from January 5th  until at least January 27th 2022. As soon as more information becomes available from the OWHA regarding the balance of the season and rescheduling games, we will provide a further update.

The girls started slow but finished strong, for their first tournament win of the season.  After getting beat by their division rival Twin Centre, the team wore down North Simcoe to start Friday 1-1.  Toronto Leaside proved to be a tough test and the girls finished the round robin 1-1-1.  In the semis, the team absolutely dismantled the same Leaside team, beating them to every puck and winning all of the battles.  The final featured a familiar foe as the girls faced Twin Centre for the 5th time this year.  The girls jumped out to a 2-0 lead but Twin Centre made it 2-1 and had all sorts of chances before we scored into the open net to ice the game.  Congrats girls, for a great start to the season!

The Ravens U15 B Team got together yesterday for some early 'trick or treating' to canvas the neighbourhood for canned goods.  The girls had a great time and all goods collected will be donated to the food bank.  Great job girls and good luck in the Fall Challenge Cup this weekend!
