Michael Phelps was made for swimming. Shaq was made for basketball. Our captain this week, Reese L., was made for speed on the ice! It’s always fascinating to watch a player with pure, seemingly effortless speed. As Reese continues to develop her stickhandling and shot, she’s going to become the ultimate “now you see her, now you don’t” player—blowing past defenders and making goalies beg for mercy! You don’t develop a high, hard shot without putting in extra practice at home!  Kendall D works hard both on and off the ice, and it’s paying off. She's quiet and reserved, but that only lulls you into not worrying about her on the ice — big mistake! This week, we have Kai F. as our team captain! She moves stealthily in front of the net, undetected, her presence only announced when the puck comes her way, and she hammers it home! In her pre-game speech, Kai made sure to pump up her teammates, letting them know what a great job they were doing and cheering them on to work their hardest. Nothing but class from this player!
