U11 HL Team #1 Tournament Champions!!!
On the morning of Friday February 9, the puck was dropped for the annual Ayr Rockets Winter Blast girls hockey tournament. For the second consecutive tournament this year, the U11 HL team #1 Ravens came out on top as Tournament Champions!
Through a hard fought round robin the Ravens went 2-1- to advance as seed #2 into the semi final round. In the finals the Ravens played their cross town rivals in the Kitchener Lady Rangers U11 Blue team. The Lady Rangers have been walking up the standings all year long and have showed impressive play in the second half of the season so far. The crowd on both sides of the ice were loud and proud!
Avery Job scored the only goal which proved to be the game winning goal as Nora earned the shutout to capture GOLD! Every player played their part in each game bringing elements from practice with a great level of execution paired with unwavering effort! Truly, a successful combination!
