Waterloo Ravens Fall Challenge Champions
The Waterloo Ravens finished a successful Waterloo Ravens Fall Challenge Tournament on Sunday Nov 4 by winning the Gold Medal Game in their home tourney. The Girls only tournament featured over 80 teams in various divisions.
As an added bonus the team was able to use the Waterloo Minor Midget AAA boys dressing room for the final Gold medal game, as the Minor Midgets were playing out of town that weekend. The dressing room is painted in traditional black and gold and features many of the necessities of a top notch hockey program.
The added feature of pre-game video in the room, proved a success as the girls were able to watch hockey and sports videos to get them ready for the gold medal match against Oakville. The Ravens proved too strong for the competition by going undefeated on their way to blanking Oakville 2-0 in the final. Strong defensive play, and balanced scoring saw the Ravens score 12 goals in the 4 game tourney, while only allowing 4 against.
