Chad Campbell
Chad has over 25 years of coaching experience at all levels of female and male minor hockey. He has been Head Coach of the K-W Rangers since 2014 and was the recipient of the 2019 PWHL Coach of the Year Award. Prior to this, he coached two years at the Midget AA level with Kitchener Minor Hockey Association. In addition to his solid coaching experience, Chad has also completed the NCCP Development 2 and High Performance 1 coaching certifications. Chad played competitively at the OHA Jr. “C”, Jr. “B” and Senior “A” levels. Chad’s coaching experience, combined with his solid understanding of the female game, makes him a great choice to lead the K-W Rangers.Dave Mark
Dave is a new Assistant Coach
for the KW Rangers leading the defensive core. He has over 15 years of minor
hockey coaching experience in both female and male hockey. Dave has completed
his NCCP Development 1 and High Performance 1 Certifications. His success as a
coach is impressive, winning bronze, silver and gold medals at both LLFHL and
Provincials at various levels and age groups over his coaching career. His
ability to teach the game of hockey is impressive and he wants his players to
love the game as much as he does. Dave not only coaches, but also serves as an
executive member to his local hockey association for the last 15 years and
currently serves as past president. In his younger days, Dave was a level 3
referee and also played competitively at the Jr. B, C and Senior A levels.
Having served in all capacities (player, coach, referee, executive member), he
truly has a strong understanding of the game which makes him a strong and
valuable addition to the K-W Ranger’s bench.Jeff Smith
Jeff
Smith has been Assistant Coach of the K-W Rangers since 2014. Prior to this, he
coached in the Waterloo Ravens organization for six years, as both a head coach
and an assistant coach with Midget AA and Bantam AA teams. During Jeff's time
with the Ravens, his teams won provincial Silver twice (Bantam AA and Midget
AA) and Silver at the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League Final Four weekend.
Before coaching in the Ravens organization, Jeff coached boys AA hockey with
the Waterloo Wolves, from Atom to Bantam, for six years. Jeff has always
enjoyed working with young players to help them develop their skills and
enjoyment of the game as they work hard to get to the next level of their
hockey careers!Beth Weckman
Beth Weckman has been General Manager of the K-W Rangers
since 2011 and a back-up trainer for the last several years. She is also active
with the Waterloo Ravens organization, volunteering as a member of the League
Management Committee. Beth is a long time hockey fan and ‘sports mom’. Her
daughters, Nicole and Andrea, played competitive hockey, softball and rugby for
teams in Kitchener, Cambridge (Ontario and in the UK) and the Greater Toronto
Area (GTA), both representing their respective universities at the varsity
level.
Beth has been a professor of Mechanical
Engineering at the University of Waterloo for many years and really enjoys
helping the K-W Ranger players attain academic and athletic success!Paige Hanmer
Dr.
Paige Hanmer started as a trainer for the K-W Rangers in August, 2019. She
played for the Waterloo Ravens organization for over 10 years, and earned the
Robert Hennig Scholarship for her dedication and commitment to the Ravens
organization. Since Graduating from Midget hockey, Paige studied Kinesiology at
Queen’s University, where she served as the Student Athletic Trainer for the
Varsity Football team. She then went on to study at the Canadian Memorial
Chiropractic College, where she completed her Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
Paige is excited to be serving the Kitchener-Waterloo community as both a
Chiropractor and Clinic Owner of Quality Health and Performance. Paige enjoys working
with the K-W Rangers to help each player achieve optimal health and success!
