Over the Christmas break Waterloo Ravens U11 #1 played in the Jason Cripps Memorial Tournament in Kitchener.
Through a tough round robin the girls played 2-1-1 to advance to the semis. A hard fought win vs Woolwich secured a place in the finals against our sister team, Waterloo U11 #2. Both teams fought incredibly hard and ended regulation in a 1-1 tie. It took and unconventional 3 overtime formats for Sophia Li to score with 3.3 seconds remaining on the clock!!! Our opponents showed class and supported us by receiving their silver medals on the ice with us as the Championship Trophy was presented to the Champs!
The coaches would like to thank both Waterloo Ravens U11 HL teams, and parents for an excellent week of hockey. We look forward to many more games behind the bench!
