These are all word to explain our Rangers Day Game vs Kitchener on Sunday Nov
16, 2014 at the Kitchener AUD.
It all began with a Rangers representative greeting us at the main entrance and escorting us to our dressing room - with assigned seating and Gatorade waiting. Each player was announced as they skated to the blue line to prepare for the playing of the National Anthem - all televised on the Big Screen. Once the puck dropped, the BATTLE began. A break away for us, then one for Kitchener... and then another and another, as both teams traded shots. Waterloo was the 1st on the scoreboard in the 1st period. Goal scored by Mira Kochhar and assisted my Marissa Chahauver and Karen Hull. There were many battles in the 2nd period but no score until the 3rd when Kitchener tied the game. With 2 mins to go in the game, the puck found it’s way to our end. A battle in front of the net, that seemed to last forever, as we watch the puck pass through our goalie on it's way across the goal line……. BUT WAIT!!! Marissa with an incredible dive, knocks the puck away as she slides into the net and SAVES A GOAL!!! Everyone worked hard. It was an amazing game..
