We need great volunteers to help with teaching the newest generation of Ravens hockey players. Awesome opportunity for current Ravens players to help out on ice giving the LTS'ers and Rookie a hand up and some encouragement to learn to love playing hockey. The young girls in the programs ages 4-7 love to see the bigger Ravens helping them out.
Also open to parents of kids in the program and other interested participants.

Great game in Guelph today by all players.  As we said in the dressing room after, your effort and hard work has made each decision very difficult.  For those players not moving on with us, we wish you all the best next season.

Players and Parents,

My name is Joel Prpic and I am extremely excited to be the coach of the Waterloo Ravens Bantam AA team for the 2018/2019 season. I am motivated, knowledgeable and passionate about coaching and can’t wait for tryouts. I want real hockey players on this team. Not just girls that play hockey. I believe that hard work and seeing yourself and your team improve is the fun at this age and level. I expect players to show up to practices and games motivated and ready to continually improve and be great teammates on and off the ice.

I will put my heart and soul into this and I expect the same from the 17 players that will make this team. Hard work and effort make up for any shortcomings any athlete has. If you are thinking of trying out for this team, I want to know who you are well in advance of tryouts. Call, email or text me so I have a good idea of who you are, where you are from, preferred position, hand you shoot, etc… The best 17 players will make this team. I put great value on work ethic, relentless effort, hockey I.Q. and athleticism. My promise to you is that I will make every effort to make you the best player and person you can be. What I need out of every player is a true desire to become the best player and person they can be. We will have a minimum of two practices a week with an off ice program that will include video, treadmill, shooting and workouts. I am a believer in multiple sport athletes but also expect that hockey comes first during the season.

Can’t wait to get started.
