A Close 2-0 Win
In a game between two well matched teams, the outcome could have been a win for either side or easily a tie game. Jessica made some key saves to keep the game scoreless during the first two periods, which definitely could have resulted in a momentum shift and a different ending to the game.
We found some energy in the 3rd period to keep the pressure on and scored 2 goals. Jocelyne did some nice work down low to feed Gabby on the 2nd goal. Against a good team like Peewee #1, we found ourselves in a bit of trouble when we did not support the puck well, especially when breaking out of our end. It was good to see a number of players make adjustments to their play through the course of the game - improving their decision making and positional responsibilities.
We'll definitely be playing that team again, so look forward to some more close battles and fun games to watch.
