Notch Another Win on a Saturday Night in Waterloo
After overcoming some Saturday night sluggishness, a balanced team effort resulted in a 3-0 victory. Overall, some good positional play in the defensive zone that we worked on last practice paid off in an extremely quiet night in net for Alice. Some good digging by Brooke resulted in her assisting on 2 goals. Another good job by the entire defensive corps keeping the puck in at Woolwich's blueline.
Sara helped to get the puck deep in the offensive zone many times and keep the pressure going.
Haylee opened the scoring assisted by Brooke and Maggie, Brigitte scored the 2nd goal midway through the 2nd period to make it 2-0 with Brooke's second assist. Annette finished the scoring on a goal she rang off the post assisted by Zoe.
We did a good job on line changes. We were offside a few more times than we would like, but that will continue to improve. We will also try to be a bit more aggressive in forcing the play rather than waiting for the other team to move the puck. But, it was a good team win on Hockey Night in Waterloo.
