Solid Win Against a Solid Team
On Monday, we improved as the game progressed. A couple of key early saves by Alice kept us in the game as we got warmed up. There was some really nice passing by Jocelyne and Emily M. Sarah H did a good job winning a number of puck battles in the corner. Jenna did an excellent job keeping the puck in at the blueline. Brooke did some strong forechecking in the 2nd and 3rd periods to gain the puck. Beth did a nice job stopping some Milverton rushes in the neutral zone.
Emily tallied the eventual game winner with an assist from Annette to open the scoring 4 minutes into the 3rd period. Brigitte put the game away with an empty net goal assisted by Juli.
Another good team win. Still a few preventable offsides, but some continued progress. We did seem to have some trouble hitting their net with quality shots, so that will be something to work on for our next game against Ayr.
