The Week That Was - January 26th - February 2nd
Rebel Ravens still looking for top form.

Your intrepid reporter has been on hiatus for the last couple weeks - here is a brief synopsis of the action from the last week of January.
Rebel Ravens vs. Kitchener Golden Hawks - the team came into this game off a win in the last game of the Kyla Kowalik Tournament, and was looking for their first win in second half league play. The Kitchener team played a solid game, and their top player made a few highly skilled plays to lead them to a 2-0 lead early in the third period. The Ravens found their legs in the third and finally broke through with a late goal by Mackenzie on an alert play around the net. Unfortunately, despite pulling the goalie with about a minute to go, the Ravens were unable to score the equalizer.
Rebel Ravens vs. Milverton Royals - Playing against Madison, our goalie for the Cripps Tournament, the team outshot and outchanced the Royals by a wide margin, but were only able to come out with a 1-1 tie. Although the team was missing a few players, the coaching staff encouraged them to keep the shifts short, look for passes,  and shoot at every opportunity, which they did. Madison was by all reports a standout in the opposing net. For the Ravens, Sarah, Mackenzie and Victoria were singled out for praise by the coaches.
These results leave the Rebel Ravens at the bottom of the standings table in the second half, but the coaching staff remains confident that our best hockey is still in front of us, and there is still lots of hockey to play.
