Ravens Bounce Back
The 'Black and Gold' surge into the playoffs with a big win at Moses Springer.
The Rebels came into this game knowing that a loss would put them out of the playoffs - and what a response from the team! The girls overwhelmed Milverton from the outset, scoring on the second shift of the game and carrying the play throughout. Jillian led the Ravens with two nice goals, while Mackenzie and Sarah chipped in insurance markers. Sophie made a nice pass to set up Sarah, while the defense, down to only four players, consistently managed to keep their opponents pinned deep in the O zone. Milverton broke through on a few occasions, but Stephanie shut the door, at one point making a beautiful stretching save! Once the team had staked themselves to a big lead, Mckenna was consistently looking to prevent scoring chances by owning the front of our net, while Ashlyn showed speed and determination throughout the game, particularly along the boards. This team is only getting better as the season progresses - way to go!
