Game Report - Saturday December 7th
Rebel Ravens Keep Rolling!
The girls put in another "complete game" as the coaching staff called it, on the way to a 4-0 win over the Woolwich Wild in Elmira on Saturday. Stephanie notched her second consecutive shutout, with an assist going to her defense - the team allowed only 7 shots against. The girls have figured out the offensive end of the ice in the last couple outings with goals on Saturday going to Mackenzie, Victoria, Natalie and Hannah. Several others had outstanding chances around the net - if not for a solid performance from the Woolwich goalie, the score could have been much more lopsided.
In other news, the team has found a goalie to replace Stephanie over the Christmas holidays. Madison Jacklin from the Milverton Bantam squad will be playing with us during the Jason Cripps tournament. Madison was introduce to the team at practice Sunday and looks like she will fit right in - thanks to the rest of the team for making her feel welcome.
Our team has also been supplying substitutes for other teams recently. On Saturday afternoon, Stephanie played a game for Bantam Team #2, coming away with a tie in a good performance. Grace played a game for Midget Team #1 on Sunday, with the Midget coaching staff saying she was fantastic and played really well. Congratulations to both girls on your exploits!
The Rebel Ravens continue their mid season surge next week against a tough Grand River squad in Fergus - game time is 4:30 pm.
